The Pacific Cigar 25th Anniversary Celebration Party
The Pacific Cigar Co Ltd, a company founded by beloved Sir David Tang, celebrated its 25th Anniversary last December, 2017. His main aim was to bring the best Cuban cigars to aficionados in Asia Pacific.
On December 7th, the Grand Hyatt hotel hosted the celebration party with over 180 guests who enjoyed a great welcome cocktail with the new Quai D’Orsay [tippy title="Habanos"]The official Denominación de Origen Protegida (D.O.P.), or Protected Denomination of Origin used only to describe the most outstanding brands of cigars, which are manufactured in Cuba to the most exacting standards established by the Regulatory Council, from tobaccos grown only in particular areas of the island that are also protected as Denominations of Origin. In English the word translates as Havanas, which are widely considered to be the best cigars in the world.[/tippy].
The dinner started with a welcome speech from the CEO, Mr Dag Holmboe, and a tribute to Sir David and the company’s milestones of the last 25 years.
The entertainment for the night was the acrobatic performances by Adage Duo.
The guests were also given an exclusive opportunity to match the Ramon Allones Silver Jubilee and the Bolivar Silver Jubilee Regional Editions, the two [tippy title="Vitola"]A word with many meanings. In Cuba it refers to the size and shape of a cigar (vitola de galera factory name, vitola de salida market name) and also to a particular size of cigar in an individual packing. In Spain it means a cigar band or ring (vitolfilia cigar band collecting).
