In English the word translates as Havanas, which are widely considered to be the best cigars in the world.[/tippy] smokers present on the event, will be arriving to all markets around the world in the couple of weeks in the brand’s classic Slide Lid Box in 25 units.

Later on, its presentation in 10 units will be also arriving to all points of sales worldwide

Hoyo de Monterrey brand was born in the plantation of the same name in [tippy title="San Juan y Martínez"]A famous small town in Vuelta Abajo which gives its name to a district that is protected as a Denomination of Origin. It has a particular reputation for the cultivation of fillers and binders.[/tippy]* (P.A.O.), in the heart of the [tippy title="Vuelta Abajo"]The finest tobacco-growing land in the world, Vuelta Abajo is the main source of tobacco for Habanos, and the only zone that grows all types of leaf: wrappers, fillers and binders. A Protected Denomination of Origin.[/tippy]* (P.A.O.) region.

Hoyo de Monterrey is located on the fertile land along the banks of the river that runs through San Juan y Martínez. The brand was created in 1865.

Le Hoyo de Río Seco (56 x 140 mm length) is a new heavy ring gauge [tippy title="Vitola"]A word with many meanings. In Cuba it refers to the size and shape of a cigar (vitola de galera factory name, vitola de salida market name) and also to a particular size of cigar in an individual packing. In Spain it means a cigar band or ring (vitolfilia cigar band collecting). To some it has an almost spiritual meaning encapsulating every aspect of their cigar of choice.[/tippy] that is added to the Serie Le Hoyo after the incorporation of the Le Hoyo de San Juan vitola, which continues to enrich this historic line and range in heavier ring gauges, which did not have a major presence in the brand until now.

The Seco, Volado and Ligero leaves that make up the smooth flavour blend of Hoyo de Monterrey come exclusively from the San Juan y Martínez* tobacco-growing district (P.A.O.), continuing the strength that was unveiled with the Le Hoyo de San Juan vitola. With this new vitola, the preparation of Habanos blends with the specific characteristics of the different Cuban Appellations of Origin is further deepened. This strength, which contributes consistency and intensity, is typical of this area’s soil.

The Serie Le Hoyo has historically been known for its slender and medium ring gauges. The new Le Hoyo de Río Seco vitola is the second heavy ring gauge vitola to be included within the Le Hoyo series; an appealing option for those who like Habanos with less strength that are delicate, aromatic and with a great elegance and complexity.

All the vitolas of the Hoyo de Monterrey Habanos brand are made “[tippy title="Totalmente a mano"]Totally by hand. A description created in Havana to differentiate between Cuban methods of making cigars by hand from the semi-mechanised metods used elsewhere that can legally be described as "Hecho a Mano" or "Hand Made".[/tippy] con [tippy title="Tripa Larga"]Long filler.
