Launch of the Romeo y Julieta Churchill Añejados in Italia

The long-awaited “Primera Emocion” event, in its “eighth edition”, brought together enthusiasts from all over the world thanks to a refined and original program, which this year bore the title of “Mediterranean Symposium” with a clear reference to “Magna Grecia” .

It started on Thursday where tireless taste seekers enjoyed a dinner with typical native flavours accompanied by a Ramon Allones Specially Selected.

The next day, among the dream gardens of Villa Arbusto, a tasting of a 1999 vintage “Habano” Bolivar Lonsdale took place.

The dinner was held in the romantic square of the “Iglesia del Soccorso”, where music and ethnic atmosphere represented the ingredients of a dinner with flavours and dishes of historical renaissance, all accompanied by a Half Corona and a Magnum 54 of H Upmann.

On Saturday morning, in the gardens of Villa Ravino, the presentation and delivery of the Nicola Costa Prize took place, now in its second edition. Among the exceptional candidates Marcello Lunelli, C.E.O. of the company Ferrari, Capovilla of the homonymous distillery and Valerio Cornale, Habano’s Man 2016 in the communication category. The prize was awarded to the last one by Valentino Federico, the organizer of the event.

On Saturday afternoon, at the Regina Isabella Hotel, a selected number of participants could enjoy a snack by the pool; In the elegant proscenium of the gala dinner the Romeo and Juliet Petit Royales were presented accompanied by cocktails created with the refined distillates of Brown Spirtis.

The event continued at the Indaco restaurant, where guests were delighted with the presence of the chef Pasquale Palamaro, awarded a Michelin star, who offered a rehearsal of his magical talent proposing the historical reworking of a menu with ancient ingredients.

At the beginning of the dinner, the long-awaited guest of honour made his appearance: the Romeo and Julieta Churchills Añejados, which was presented as a premiere in the Italian market.

It was Andrea Vincenzi, president of Diadema SPA, and Federico Valentino, a specialist of Habanos in Ischia, who presented this legendary Churchill, image and icon of Habano for decades, and now offered to the passionate in its original tubes aged for more than ten years under the careful care of [tippy title="Habanos S.A., Corporación"]The Havana-based company, jointly owned by the Cuban industry and the British Imperial Tobacco Group, which markets all 27 Habanos brands worldwide.[/tippy]experts.

The evening was accompanied by the music and dances of the artist Valerio Sgarra, under the careful direction of Luca Alves, for years the Artistic Director of the Event, and Umberto Cuomo, responsible for the organizational part.
